At a court mandated settlement conference before judicial officer James Ghidella, Brian Momsen settled a water rights dispute for his client a Buddhist monastery in Redwood Valley.  The monastery, as part of the settlement, received a stipulated judgment quieting title to their right to pump water from a spring on neighboring property, guaranteeing them access for repair and maintenance and allowing representatives of the monastery to be accompanied by Mendocino County Sheriff deputies if access is ever refused.   The neighbors received an additional storage tank from the monastery.
