Alexander Rich obtained letters of guardianship for the firm’s client, allowing her to take possession of real property that her 5-year-old son inherited from his father. The child’s father had died in 2012, after acquiring property in Laytonville.  The local Probate Referee determined that the real property was valued at less than $150,000, allowing the firm’s client to have the property transferred into her name without need for a full probate.  The Honorable Cindee F. Mayfield granted the client’s unopposed petition for guardianship, which allowed for the transfer of property into her name.
